Micro Niche Finder 5 Preview

My very favorite product for finding keywords is a product called Micro Niche Finder. I just got an email from James Jones, who is the creator or director of this software anyway. James says that not only is the upgrade from Micro Niche Finder 4 to Micro Niche Finder 5 but he also has a video to see some of the new features, it is formatted like a movie trailer. Here is a link to the video. Anyway if you are interested the software is supposed to be out by the end of the month.

Just as a recap here are the reasons that I use Micro Niche Finder

To find popular searches in a niche

To find amount and strength of competition

To find new niches

To find popular keywords for today

Plus there are lots more features. I will do a complete review as soon as the new Micro Niche Finder 5 is released. For now enjoy the trailer

Keyword Research – The market you want

Many people do keyword reasearch by looking at terms that have high volume and are not competitive but I am not sure that is what you really want, or maybe it is? Well I have a few thoughts on this and wanted to wirte just a bit today to tell you what I look for.

Bum Marketing Keyword Research

When you are doing Bum Marketing as Travis Sago teaches it you are looking for two things. A hungry market and overlooked keywords. I think this is really important since you are really looking for people that can and want to buy something but are also available to you to pitch. Read the rest of this entry »

Keyword Search Tool

I have written before about how great Micro Niche Finder is a great keyword search tool for my business and as I have started using the newest version of Micro Niche Finder I have found some really cool ways to use it as a keyword search tool with a lot of extra features.

First of all I believe that Google has the ultimate wisdom when it comes to search. Google knows how many search results there are which I have always thought was over rated (who cares about the mass of competition for terms that no one is searching for) but more importantly Google will tell you how many searches are being done for any keyword term.

The reason that I have Micro Niche Finder is not just for this feature as this can be done by simply searching using the Google Keyword Tool. What is more important is to have a keyword search tool and then see the quality of your competition for that keyword, very easily you can see if you can rank high for that term. Finally after getting the keyword term that you can rank higher you will want to know if the people searching for this term are buyers or browsers and Micro Niche Finder does that for you as well. Google Insights for search

Ever wonder where you can find out how many people are searching for something so that you can pick a niche a little bit easier? Well one tool that is great is Google Trends. Google Trends is a tool that Google offers to allow you to see what the relative volume of searches is.

Google Trends does not give you actual search numbers but there is a way to figure the numbers by relating them to each other.

Lets say that you rank number one for a termand get 100 page views a day for that term. Go to Google Trends and search for that term and you will get a graph. Now put a comma after that term and a new search term and voila’ a relation between them is now there. This in itself has been a great tool for me to just fiddle with and get a good idea of what is going on in peoples heads.

Remember though that this can be a bit of a fake out. If you do a search for an internet marketing term or a term that internet marketers may be searching for, like “make money online”, or even “buy viagra” then you are going to find other marketers searches (not just buyers or browsers) muddying up the search volume.

Google Insights for search is an extension on Google Trends. What Google insights gives you is not only the graph or relational graph between two terms but also it will give you popular related terms and the rising terms in comparison. This is truly fantastic as most people have had to rely on doing searches through Google Adwords up to now for this info.

I did the following search for make money online in Google Insights for Search and look at the results page. A wealth of information.

Google Insights looks like the new version of Google Trends, look for trends to disappear and Google Insights for serach to become the popular method for finding and targeting related keywords in niches.

Internet Marketing Firefox Extensions

Firefox is a great browser when compared to Internet Explorer. I know, the geek in me likes Firefox but most people are just rolling their eyes and saying

“Who cares about a browser with not much market share? My buyers don’t use it anyway”

Well there are good reasons to use Firefox, especially as a web business person. I look at Firefox as my portal to the internet as well as a research and content cration tool. basically I use Firefox as a very strong tool to build my business.

Here are some great extensions that you can use with Firefox to extend the ability that a browser can give you for internet marketing. Read the rest of this entry »
