Forums, Reading and Execution

OK, one of the great ways in which we start on the path to building an internet business is by researching and learning on sites like Digital Point, Warrior Forum and Wicked Fire among others.
The trouble is that reading and ususally even posting to these forums is not in fact building a business and I want to show you why.
Don’t get me wrong I love reading in the forums and I always learn stuff but the trouble is that I never sell stuff in Internet Marketing forums so I try to limit my time there (except maybe the WSO section of Warrior Forum). Sure this blog is an internet marketing blog so you would think that I would be able to drag visitors from my signature at the forums but really this does not happen much from the Internet Marketing folks. The trouble with internet marketing forums is that there is too much noise. You see the same things over and over again and get used to seeing a pitch a mile away.
Now another problems with forums and blogs for that matter is that they will suck a lot of time and it is not mentally tough to do. Just to test this try going into forums and blogs and decide beforehand that everytime you read something you will respond online with a comment, this will probe how tough the give and take really is instead of just reading.
Well this is not supposed to just be about forums this article is supposed to show you the differnece between prparation and execution. Well forum reading is the preparation, so is reading about your niche for ideas. The execution is much harder but is the only thing that makes you money. Remember back a paragraph and how hard it is to actually commit to typing respoonses instead of just reading.
I like to prepare and surf around as much as the next guy but really when I dig into Word, my WordPress editor or into DreamWeaver I am really creating and this creating is geared towards giving to the internet and executing on some of those tasks, projects, and goals that have made me money and will continue to make me money.
My first real review three years ago for a Clickbank product took me 5 hours to write from start to finish and I was a little blind to what it would do. As I have mentioned in the past I use no pay per click advertizing and so all of the reviews that I write I need to follow up with articles for backlinks and traffic. Well that first review has made me $5,000 over the years and another review has made me $4,000 in just the last three months. The trouble is that you get burned out writing articles all of the time to chase your reviews.
I know that there are many people out there waying that they will get going as soon as they have all the information so that they don’t burn time making mistakes but really the mistakes are never going to be taought to you, you will have to make the regardless.
If you are reading this right now and want to make money in the next couple of weeks it is quite simple and I think I have probably put this formula out there before. Do hte following.
- Find a product on Clickbank that has a gravity of 60-100
- Read 10 reviews and crystallize them into a good review twith pictures and a great call to action. do not worry how good your review is as the people reading it will be interested in the product not writing editorials about your sales approach.
- Put that review on any free site, Blogger, Tumblr, WordPress, Squidoo who cares where
- Start to write 400-500 word articles that highlight problems that will be solved by buying the product that you reviewed
- Submit these articles to Ezine Articles with a link to your review page
- Track your article clickthough and your review clickthrough and try to start improving conversion rates
This is all you really need to do to get going. All of this is free to do and there is great profit potential in it as well.
One last thing. As you are doing these steps that I have outlined you will not only feel exhilaration that you are actually moving forward but it is very tiring work initially, as soon as you break in your mind you will find that the reviews come fast as do the articles.
If you like this post then you will probably like these other related items as well

Really nice post.
After these initial steps, how much extra time do you invest in creating traffic to the review i.e. do you continue to build links for the life of the article?
Good method of markteting, a step wise guide is quite informative. I am already using clickbank, but never did so much research.
I agree with you here “The trouble is that reading and ususally even posting to these forums is not in fact building a business”
One can just make backlinks from there…

Great simple and step-by-step of bum marketing!
Thanks,
