March 2008 money stats

Well March is over and the numbers have been crunched.

March stats for my internet business were pretty good with just over $2400 in income from just about 77,000 page views.

My adsense income was up slightly just over $200 which was nice as well as my clickbank being up to almost $1900 which blew me away and still does everyday that I see sales coming through. I started using Linkshare more this month and that was worth just over $200 for just one campaign that I used a banner with. so much for banners being ineffective, throw enough eyeballs at a focussed banner and it is bound to work.

There were some real disappointments for me in March though. I started or at least continued using Copeac and have not done enough work with it so it gave me nothing. also, Commission Junction, the company everyone seems to like does not convert for me, I am sure that it is not Commission Junctions fault I have just got to find a program or more that really talks to the needs of my customers. Lastly I still have not gotten any traction with Amazon, I need to write more reviews I guess and there is a strong market but all of those online Book Stores that you can build with a script are useless as I can see from my stats and the real way to make Amazon money is to write reviews to products and then find a decent way to promote them.

As far as my output for the month of March, I had a week of vacation in Hawaii and created less content than I have in a few months. I always believe there is a bit of a lag between work and payoff although in a Google world you would think that everything should be really instant. I am going to be focusing on bringing up some of my lagging sites this month and create content for sites that have seen nothing from my in a long time so I am hoping that strategically that I can have a wider range of products and sites to be making an income from and therefore less concerned about any single market failing to perform for me.

I also have a todo list of about 100 items to action thanks to moving more towards GTD (Getting Things Done) and look forward to cleaning up a lot of those money making tasks.
