>y tagline for this blogs states I was expecting to make $100,000 in 2008. I have totally failed.
I suspect that this year I am going to finish off with around $30,000. I am devestated and totally disappointed. Well maybe disappointed but not devestated. My goal was a crazy goal that I made in December of last year and last year I made probably about $7,000 so my gains this year have been great.
As you probably have seen in my last post I have some points that I want to focus on this year. I think as long as I have a plan and stick with it 2009 is going to be the year that I hit 6 figures which is exciting to say the least.
Last year at this time I made a kickass goal and it was at a time that I was still excited about an online business but I knew that I was spending 2 or 3 hours to make a dollar, at least that is what it felt like. This year the money has been flowing a bit easier as I have been leveraging the work that I did in the previous couple of years and that is always your best strategy.
So my tagline changes but $100,000 will be the goal for 2009.
Sorry to any of you that are disappointed in the failure of this years quest, good luck to all next year for the dreams that did not quite come this year

I think that calling it a failure is wrong. You may not have made your goal, but, how many people can actually say that they made $30,000 in one year on their blog? You are living proof that making money online is possible. Keep up the good work, and I am sure you will make your goal!
OMG, $30,000 is certainly NOT a failure! You are make a lot more than so many others and I totally congragulate you! I guess you did not meet your goal, but I would not discount the great achievement of $30,000!
Well i do hope that you get to meet your target in 2009. Business slowed down late of this year.
To be very true, our expectations are always high to plan somethign and that always ends in disaster. You know, I never planned something more than my capacity. I always know what I can do and what can ends in total disaster. This year was so blessing for me, I even earned more than my expectation.
You are brilliant to me because you can earn that others can’t. I have to really learn from you. Anything that you can share with us on how to push your website up and gain more income?
To fix up a target is good. It motivates a lot. But missing it by a few yards need not be called failure. When the zeal is there, one can easily make up for it. All the best for the new year!
It’s better to have 5 figures than 4. This year, you have a long time to reach your target. Good luck to you–and to the rest of us.
Honestly, this thing of being disappointed for earning only $30.000 takes the cake ! I know it’s also all about point of view. Anyway, I don’t see great future in loosing time with that. I’m not sure it’s something greatly appreciated by your readers. In fact, it’s the best way to loose your readers !
It’s better to have 3 figures than 4.
I think you’re a lucky guy. 2008 was a bullshit year for almost everyone–but you were able to do well. Congrats!
Oh come on. How can it be that bad? You made an extra $30,000 this year. 2008 was a pretty bad year for a lot of people and I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there that wouldn’t mind another $30,000 in their lives. 2009 might be better and, by your standards, it can only get better right?
Good luck and may you reach your goal in 2009!
for everyone 2008 was so tough.so we need to foucs on 2009 to get successful .
